Neha Dhupia eyes making running a fun filled affair

Mumbai: Neha Dhupia recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about her deep passion for running and its significant role in her life. In her message, Dhupia expressed how running has always been her way of finding freedom, no matter the circumstances. “The one thing I have always loved to do is run… whether I am happy, sad, free, or busy. Running has always been my way of setting myself free, regardless of how fast or slow. It’s about listening to my body and finding my strength on any given day,” she wrote, reflecting on the personal liberation running provides her.

As Dhupia became more immersed in the running world, she found inspiration in the resilience and determination of fellow runners. She highlighted the strength and discipline she observed within the running community, both mentally and physically. “As I ran more, I met so many incredible people from the running community, and I realized how strong and disciplined they were, both physically and mentally. This community continues to grow, and that inspired me to take a baby step toward making women and little girls healthier,” Dhupia shared.

In partnership with national-level athlete Anita Lobo, Dhupia launched an exciting new initiative called GoFloRun—a unique race aimed at encouraging women and girls, aged 12 and above, to prioritize their health and well-being through running. “So, along with my running partner @anita_lobo13, we’ve started @goflorun, a wonderful race that encourages women and girls from all over the city and nation, 12 years and above, to join us,” Dhupia said.

The GoFloRun initiative strives to create a supportive and empowering environment for women to embark on their fitness journeys. With a focus on health and wellness, Dhupia and Lobo hope to inspire a generation of women and girls to embrace running as a path toward both physical and mental strength.

Dhupia’s post has garnered widespread attention, with numerous celebrities such as Sonu Sood, Soha Ali Khan, and Nikhil Chinapa sharing their support for the initiative, further building excitement around GoFloRun. The movement is set to make a positive impact on the lives of women across the nation, encouraging them to take that first step toward a healthier future.
